Deploying with EIS framework/services#
Intel Edge Insight Systems (EIS) is a suite of software and hardware solutions designed to enable rapid deployment and management of edge computing applications. It focuses on providing tools and frameworks to collect, process, and analyze data at the edge of the network, close to where it is generated. This helps in gaining real-time insights and improving operational efficiency across various industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and more. EVAM can also be bundled and deployed along with other EIS solutions/microservices allowing them to use it as an ingestion microservice.
Getting started#
As part of EIS deployment, EVAM is provided as a bundled package. Users can download and install EVAM and other services. To get started, follow the steps here.
Depending upon the current directory you are in, the installation folder will have directory as <INSTALL_DIR>/Intel_Edge_Insights_System_2.0_Premium/. We will refer to it as [EIS_WORKDIR] in this documentation.
EIS/Advanced config for EVAM#
For EVAM to work in EIS deployment, some additional configuration is required as described here.
Interaction with other EIS services#
Metadata and Frames generated by EVAM can be consumed by other EIS services. To learn more about how some of the EIS services interact with EVAM for their functionality, see here.
